Music, for me, is not only something that is produced in the studio — it is something that lives and breathes in the moment of live performance. Each performance carries a unique atmosphere shaped by the space, the audience, and the energy of the present moment.

Khalil Fong - 悟空

This cover of “悟空” was performed during my time living in London, UK. At that stage, I was deeply drawn to fusion music, especially the combination of R&B and electronic elements, which is one of the reasons this song resonated with me so strongly. Through this performance, I explore the emotional depth of the piece while bringing my own interpretation to it.

Terry Lin - 没离开过

This is my cover of “没离开过” by Terry Lin. Every time I listen to this song, it resonates with me in a different way — sometimes reflecting on relationships, sometimes on life, and sometimes on the world around us. Through my performance, I wanted to express those shifting emotions and share my own explainations, hoping that audiences might hear their own stories within it.

GIVĒON - Heartbreak Anniversary

This is one of my favorite English R&B songs in recent years. GIVĒON’s voice has a richness that reminds me of aged red wine, it’s just so deep, warm, and full of character. In my performance, I had the chance to share the stage with my friend Liam Hao, using a simple arrangement to focus on the emotion of the song and share this story together.

David Tao - 小镇姑娘

This song, 小镇姑娘, created by one of my favorite Chinese R&B artists. His understanding and creativity in R&B have always been something I deeply admire and aspire to. I was honored to perform this song, which is an R&B piece infused with jazz and other influences, at KAI Live House Toronto as a member of Season V band.

step.jad 依加 - 迷宫

This is my cover of “迷宫” by step.jad, who is one of the new-generation Chinese R&B singer-songwriter whose music I really enjoy. I admire how artists like him are able to create beautiful melodies while telling meaningful and emotional stories through their lyrics. Through this cover, I enjoyed to bring my own emotions to the song and share the atmosphere and feeling that first drew me to it.
